Structure
Composition divided into alternating “narrative” and “rythmic” segments.
Narrative segments are more ambient and experimental with voiceover driving the “story”, leading into instrumental rythmic segments that can be conceptualised as “memories”, each building on a nostalgic element with a more modern and coherent instrumentation.
The structure of the performance is roughly:
- Narrative: Fading, loss of self
- Rhythm: Melancholic, dark, techno
- Narrative: Repression, pain, autopilot
- Rhythm: Melancholic, glitched, IDM / half-step
- Narrative: Discovery, glimpses of memory
- Rhythm: Uplifting / percussive contrast, trance / techno
- Narrative: Realization, seeing it clearly
- Rhythm: Reflective, excited, downtempo
- Freeform (?): Thoughtful, evolving, ambient
- Narrative: TODO, something with anger and strength
- Rhythm: TODO, something with lots of buildup, energy and emotion
- Narrative: Remembering
